#2: Production Officially Started!

Happy New Year! ~plays mouth horrrn, confetti everywhere~

It's time to officially start the production of Outback Stabhouse and bring in the artist for the game. Introducing Sabrina!

I worked with her on my last project and she is an amazing environmental artist so I'm super excited to be working with her again and for future projects as well!

Now that she is with us for the game, I needed to put together a new moodboard now that the art direction of the game is coming into it's own. I'm only going to share a snippet of it because there are some images I don't want to spoil it. Gotta keep some things behind the curtain sorry!

Other than bringing the team together I have been working on getting the jumping of the game and the dialogue system up and running. They're not running yet, more like slowly crawling but hey, no one said that game development would be easy. They also didn't tell me it was going to be hard ~grumbles and mumbles~ Is this parenting? Probably.

This coming week I'm going to be working on fixing the way the Player object is set up to make the jumping feel better and make sense visually with all the colliders in the environments. I'm also going to attempt to post these dev logs every Monday if I can. Keyword attempt. I want to work on the dialogue system too so that I can focus on other things because it takes up too much rent and excitement in my mind. Slowly but surely this game will come together by the end of the year!

Well, time to get back to work to figure out how to get videos going for this project on Youtube and probably on the game itself.
If you want to support my development of the game and get more a behind the scenes look at the game, support me on Ko-fi and become a member so I can work on these silly games full time and make them the best they can be!
